CFS Oshawa

CFS Oshawa - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or also called CFS is used in order to identify a medical sickness normally defined by persistent fatigue that is accompanied by other certain signs. These disorders are lasting for a minimum of 6 months, are not significantly relieved by rest, are not caused by different medical circumstances and are not due to constant effort. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is also called post-viral fatigue syndrome or PVFS and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis or also known as ME. There are several other terms used to describe this as well.

The WHO or World Health Organization classifies CFS under Nervous System diseases, although the disorder is not known. Many psychological and physiological factors could contribute to the maintenance and development of signs. Presently, there is no diagnostic laboratory test or biomarker for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Signs of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome consists of widespread muscle and joint pain, post-exertion malaise, un-refreshing sleep, cognitive difficulties, sore throat and often severe mental and physical exhaustion. Those who are coping with this condition could complain of increased sensitivities to light, smells and sounds. Other signs of CFS include: digestive disturbances, depression, muscle weakness cardiac and respiratory problems, and orthostatic intolerance. It is not known whether these signs are produced by an underlying etiology of CFS or if they represent co-morbid conditions. CFS tends to affect women more often than men. It is uncommon amongst adolescents or kids. People who do experience CFS describe their lifestyle as "uniquely and particularly disrupted."

The CDC in the United States, requires two of the following criteria to be fulfilled before using the definition of CFS. The first criteria is that the start of persistent, unexplained fatigue is not alleviated or aided by rest alone and is unrelated to exertion, effort which has caused by the reduction in previous activity levels. Next, 4 or more of the following indications that last 6 months or longer: myalgia or muscle pain, frequent or recurring sore throat, post-exertion malaise, un-refreshing sleep, new headaches or those of greater severity, impaired concentration or impaired memory, tender axillary or cervical lymph nodes.

Oshawa is amongst Ontario, Canada's cities on the shoreline of Lake Ontario. It is the biggest community in the Regional Municipality of Durham, with its name originating from Ojibwa, that means "the crossing place." Oshawa began as a transfer point for the fur trade, where furs were loaded at the Oshawa harbor and transported to the trading posts situated at the mouth of the Credit River.

The Oshawa trails offer its citizens and visitors an opportunity to see the beauty of Oshawa's culture, natural resources and parks.
